QUANTUM: MAKE THE LEAP

Science is our Doctrine

Quantum Sports Performance follows existing empirical evidence that details the safest, most efficient, and most effective methods of developing athleticism, as exemplified by the Verkhoshansky-Yessis Model.  We believe that although genetics create an athlete's ceiling and floor, the window is wide. We don’t know what kind of LEAP in athleticism that your ahtlete can make…let’s find out.

Quantum focuses primarily on youth athletes from elementary school through college. We are located in Naperville, IL and service athletes from all over the Chicagoland area.

Performance: Science Driven

Quantum Sports

Born from Frustration: Quantum Sports Performance started with two families who believed their kids could be good enough to start on their high school teams with the right training and a leap in athleticism. What they found was gym after gym that talked about, but didn’t utilize, science.

Science is our Doctrine: American youth sports often neglects developing athleticism because of the pressure to "win on Saturday”.  There is a significant body of empirical evidence detailing the safest, most efficient, and most effective methods of creating better athletes. Most of these fundamentals have been known for more than 20 years but are often overlooked for new fads, or training that uses myth instead of data.  "Run til you puke" does not develop athleticism.

We Develop Athletes not Inherit Them: Genetics set your athletic floor and ceiling.  HOWEVER, that window is WIDE. We don’t know how far your athlete can leap…let’s find out.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?

THE QUANTUM METHOD

Fun as a discipline:  Block training does not translate to the court/field.  Randomized Training does. We achieve this through the use of games designed to develop athleticism.  Science says that making an activity fun decreases burnout and increases performance.

We combine cooperation with competition. Cooperative competition pushes each athlete to a level they could not achieve alone.

We’ve cancelled “Run ’Til You Puke”.  Science shows “punitive coaching” to be ineffective for not only developing athleticism, but in maximizing athlete performance as well.
There is a significant body of empirical evidence detailing the most effective way to build speed, power and  athleticism as  exemplified  by the Verkhoshansky-Yessis Model. We strictly follow this evidence to develop athletic programing.
Reviews  of academic studies  are conducted weekly/monthly to ensure use of the most up to date science.
We invest in and train with the latest scientific technology including, Gym Aware (VBT) Dashr (laser timers) Vertec (vertical measuring system) and the KPulley 2 System (flywheel rotational training).
Athletes complete a baseline test and are re-tested every 16 workouts.  You won’t have to rely on subjective opinion regarding improvements—you’ll see improvements objectively  in the test data.  Results are communicated through Quantum’s ADR (Athletic Development Report).

1
After 16 workouts our athletes on average, shave .16 seconds from the 10 yard dash and .21 seconds from the pro-agility.  They increase broad jump by 8 in. and vertical jump by 1.7 inches. Pull-up increase by 53%.  n=105  .

Our Athlete’s parents and team coaches report noticeable differences in speed, power and athleticism on the field along with an increase in overall confidence.
